of several unfavorable circum-stances,
the college squad was dis-banded
for the season. In the inter-class
games the '14's won the college
championship, but lost the school
championship to the Academy '12's.
The Academy team of last season
ranked among the best three or four
of the secondary school teams of the
state. The Academy girls' team, too,
won fame for itself by playing through
a very successful season. No definite
basketball policy has yet been worked
out for this season.
Track is coming, with football, to
be recognized more and more as a dis-tinctively
college sport. Eight or nine
years ago Penn maintained a fine
track team and, with the decline of
baseball, track seems to be again
coming to its own at Penn. During
the past two years some work has
